Healthcare Services

Opening of a medical clinic was part of the basic idea of Sultana Foundation. Founder Chairman Dr. Naeem Ghani, a keen social worker, was already running free dispensaries in Islamabad & Rawalpindi before the development of Sultana Foundation.

The Medical Wing of Sultana Foundation was started in 1994. Dr. Naeem Ghani , a surgeon by profession was in charge of the Medical Wing and a lot of doctors volunteered for the cause including Dr Naseer Bux Shiekh, consultant eye physician. Since 2008, Dr. Nadeem Naeem has been serving as the Director of Medical Services, Sultana Foundation.

Today the Free Clinic provides medical services to surrounding villages. With competent & trustworthy staff it is providing a number of medical facilities which include:

  • General outdoor patient clinic
  • X-ray, Ultrasound and clinical laboratory services
  • Village mobile medical unit
  • Preventive health education
  • School of Assistant Health officers for training

School of AHO’s was established in July 1998 with a prime objective to equip budding health staff with better training facilities in Medicare. Initially the program was started from 2 rooms, 30 matric and intermediate level girls were selected and trained in practical patient care. For additional training, help of Shifa International Hospital, Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) & Federal Government Services Hospital (FGSH) was taken. Today, the same hospitals are sending their nurses for training in Sultana Foundation’s School of AHO.

The department of Basic Social Trainings was established in 2006 on the recommendation of Dr. Naeem Ghani, Chairman Sultana Foundation. The purpose of this department is to equip our youth and people with knowledge to lead a healthy lifestyle & to train them in health emergencies (first aid). Establishment of this department is a contribution to our society. Our department has developed First aid training courses of various durations and intensities and has trained over 75000 people in private sector & government since its inception.
